  • Voice over IP for the Trans-Pennine Express and Norwegian Rail

ASL VIPET IP Audio Controllers are now installed at all stations on the Trans-Pennine Express route. Via associated ASL VAR routers and rack mount Voice Alarm equipment, the VIPETs are providing Long Line PA broadcasts to all thirty two stations from a central control centre.
The stations are both manned and unmanned, with manned stations having local broadcast capability in addition to the Long Line functions, while the unmanned stations are controlled entirely over the VIPET IP network.
ASL VIPET IP Audio Controllers and the new iPA400 Intelligent Amplifier Mainframe are now also installed at a number of Norwegian Rail stations, with eighty being installed as part of the current project.
