The R32C/100 Series is upwardly compatible with the M32C/80 and supports key features of the M16C Family: low power consumption, low noise emissions, and high EMI/EMS performance. Standard on-chip peripherals include 16-bit multifunction timers (incl. three-phase motor control timer), Asynchronous/synchronous serial interface, 10-bit A/D converter, DMACs, CRC calculator, X-Y converter, Watchdog timer, Oscillation stop detector, PLL synthesizer, etc. In addition, this series has the following two advantages:
- A drastic time reduction in Flash memory programming at a 3X write.
- New Single Wire Debugger (NSD) interface connectable with a single pin.
