Overview

The H8/300H CPU is a high-speed central processing unit with an internal 32-bit architecture that is upwards-compatible with the H8/300 CPU. The H8/300H CPU has sixteen 16-bit general registers, can address a 16-Mbyte linear address space, and is ideal for real-time control.

H8/36109 Group

The H8/36109 Group is a high-end product in the H8/36049 Groupthat is suitable for motor control, and the highest performance product inthe H8/Tiny Series.
This group offers increased ROM and RAM, and enhanced peripheral functions suchas a 5-channel a 16-bit timer and 16-channel A/D converter. In addition, thereliability of the fail safe functions is improved by incorporating anon-chip oscillator.


H8/36077, H8/36079 Group

The H8/36077 Group offers enhanced fail safe functions (oscillation stopdetection function: the watchdog timer starts operating after the reset stateis canceled) based on the H8/3687 Group. Peripheral functions match those of the H8/3687 Group, including a 16-bit timer with two channels, atwo-channel asynchronous/synchronous serial interface, and a one-channel I²Cbus interface. This group can be used for to motor control thanks to theadded 2-channel 16-bit timer. Moreover, it can also be ued fornetwork-connected home appliances by employing the two-channel serialcommunication interface and one-channel I²C bus interface.


H8/36087 Group

The H8/36087 Group provides high-speed operation (18 MHz) at 3 V andis based on the H8/3687.


H8/36064 Group

The H8/36064 Group is a slim version of the H8/3687. The device has 32kbytes on-chip single supply flash memory.


H8/36049 Group

The H8/36049 Group is a version of the existing H8/3687 Group, but withenhanced peripheral functions and I/O, and is suitable for use in householdappliances with advanced functions, including indoor units of air conditionersneeding motor control, etc.


H8/36037, H8/36057 Group

The H8/36037 and H8/36057 Groups have an on-chip CAN (full CAN 2.0B)interface for use in in-vehicle equipment such as door modules and airbags.


H8/36014, H8/36024 Group

The H8/36014 and H8/36024 Groups offer the high-speed H8/300H Tiny CPU corewith enhanced communication functions based on the H8/3672 Group and areoptimized to provide low-cost solutions for small communications networks inapplications such as fire and security systems.


H8/36912, H8/36902 Group

The H8/36912 and H8/36902 Groups are microcomputers with the lowest-capacity(8 kbytes) and lowest pin count (32 pins) in the H8/300H Tiny lineup. Withenhanced timers, 10-bit A/D converter, asynchronous/synchronous serialinterface, I2C bus interface (H8/36912 only) and large- current ports, thesedevices are suitable for applications including system control for small homeappliances and various sensors.


H8/36094 Group

The H8/36094 Group offers enhancement of fail safe functions (Oscillationstop detection function, the watchdog timer starts operating at initial value.)based on the H8/3694 Group. H8/36094 Group can be used for various purposesfrom main microcomputer at small system to sub microcomputer at large systembecause peripheral functions as H8/3694 Group include timer of four types, I2CBus Interface, Serial Communication Interface, 10 bit A/D converter.


H8/3694 Group

The H8/3694 Group is the successor to the H8/3664 Group. The maximumfrequency has been increased to 20 MHz at 5 V power supply, andoperability is highly enhanced by improvement of the I2C1 interface. Four typesof packages are available: a 64-pin LQFP (10 mm x 10 mm) and 64-pin QFP (14 mmx 14 mm) having pin compatibility with the H8/3664 Group, plus two 48-pin LQFPs(10 mm x 10 mm and 7 mm x 7 mm) which are newly introduced as part of thisgroup.


H8/3687 Group

The H8/3687 Group offers enhancement of the peripheral functions of theH8/3664 and is optimized to achieve higher performance.


H8/3672 Group

The H8/3672 Group was developed for smaller, cost sensitive applicationswhich don't require all of the functions of the H8/3664.


H8/3664 Group

This group is supported only for the customers who have already adopted anyof the products. For new adoption, please consider H8/3694 Group, H8/36094Group products.
