Renesas Electronics Europe with its Business Operations Centre located in Dusseldorf, Germany, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Renesas Electronics Corporation (TSE: 6723), the world’s number one supplier of microcontrollers and a premier supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions including microcontrollers, SoC solutions, secure MCU applications and a broad-range of analog and power devices. Renesas Electronics’ European structure is comprised of three dedicated business groups serving the region’s key markets: automotive, communications & consumer and industrial. Renesas Electronics Europe Ltd. is headquartered in Buckinghamshire in the UK.

The German-based Business Operations Centre and headquarters of Renesas Electronics Europe GmbH is located in Duesseldorf. This is a subsidiary of Renesas Electronics Europe Ltd., while the other European operations are subsidiaries of the Duesseldorf office. Renesas Electronics Europe is structured into three divisions:

The Business Group, the Engineering Group, and the Corporate Group – to reflect the merged company's strategic orientation going forward.

The Business Group (BG) will itself be subdivided into the following three application oriented divisions:

  • Automotive BG
  • Communications and Consumer BG (Incl. Secure MCU Centre)
  • Industrial BG

The Engineering Group (EG) comprises two divisions: the Engineering Design Centre (EDC) and the Engineering Technology Centre (ETC).

The new European company has a Quality Centre to provide technical support to local customers in Europe.

The Corporate Group (CG) covers organisational and enterprise services such as business planning, finance, IT, supply chain management, human resources and general affairs.
